I feel like I have to pretend I’m something I’m not just yet. May as well be an astronaut.<\/p>\n
I’m all out on the tiles like a jigsaw puzzle dumped from its box. There’s no picture on the cover. Sometimes it looks like it’s something that someone else made great. Sometimes it looks like I put it together.<\/p>\n
I’m sitting at a wrap-around bar. Maybe I’m slowly drinking a Jameson. I talk to anyone at bars who wants to talk to me. I’m my better self this way: approachable, kind, promising.<\/p>\n
Or maybe I’m just me, and someone talks to me anyhow and\u00a0takes a chance. (Treat.) Or I’m let down spectacularly, but it was just what I needed. (Trick.) Either way would be fantastic.<\/p>\n
