Inspiration information
I am a very responsible person most of the time. Even now, as I write this, I am doing so because I handed out business cards at a wonderful event. I couldn’t possibly have anyone who hasn’t lost my card come upon an empty site. I must fill it up! I am a writer, and so I must show the world that I can (and do) write!
It dawns on me that it’s perfect that I write the first post in this way. While I’m usually 10 minutes early for everything, I am often ‘late to the party’ in other ways.
Those of us who’ve heard that we’re ‘old souls’ our whole lives know what I mean. We seem destined for almost greatness. Our interests lapse into territories deemed ‘odd’, and that which moves us is seldom that which moves most others. It is lonely, but it is exciting at the same time to buck the odds and go for it.
The premise of ‘Late 2 the Party’ is to share a bit of what I love most (which is often music), and to expound upon the musical detritus that informs my life and that has drawn the good- and bad-natured ire of those around me.
Sooner than I now think, this blog will be full of inspirational stories of pursuing my dreams to successes that were previously unimaginable. I have entered into a new chapter of my life where it seems silly to *not* do/taste/experience/love those things that inspire me. In the process, I hope to realize my dreams and, to paraphrase that Emerson magnet on my fridge, live the life I’ve always imagined. Or something.
I’m so proud of you!!! I love the new chapter in your life!
Thank you — from the bottom of my heart.
